POLICE are on the hunt for two firearms stolen from a South Tamworth home.

An unknown person gained entry to the property through the side gate before they broken into the house and stole several items between 3:30pm and 5pm on Thursday.
Two firearms, jewellery, a laptop and a tablet have been stolen from the home that was unoccupied at the time.
A crime scene was established and the home was examined by specialist forensic officers.
Oxley Police District officers are appealing for public assistance and urge anyone with information that may assist the investigation to come forward.
