Two men have been charged with a raft of offences after they were caught hunting illegally on a Pallamallawa property earlier this month.

Investigators from the Moree Rural Crime Prevention Team will allege that two men set their hunting dogs on a pig and killed it while they were travelling along River Road, Pallamallawa in an unregistered Toyota Hilux at about 11pm on Thursday, June 6.
The two men then allegedly entered private property on River Road to hunt feral pigs. Neither of the men had permission to enter the private land.

The following day, at about 10.30am on Friday, June 7, police from the Moree Rural Crime Prevention Team stopped one of the men driving the unregistered Toyota Hilux in Pallamallawa.
A firearm was resting next to the driver's seat of the vehicle and was clearly visible from the roadway, contrary to firearms legislation. The bolt and ammunition for the firearm were unsecured in the driver's door pocket.
Police seized the firearm and ammunition, and suspended the man's firearms licence.
On Monday, June 17, a 30-year-old man from Pallamallawa was charged with entering inclosed lands and possessing a firearm or prohibited weapon, hunting game animal on private/public land without a licence, not keeping a firearm safe - not prohibited firearm/pistol and using an unregistered motor vehicle.
A 35-year-old man from Pallamallawa was charged with larceny and entering inclosed lands with the intent to commit a prescribed offence.
Both men are due to appear before Moree Local Court on August 5.
