A female Senior Constable was allegedly assaulted whilst attempting to disperse a brawl in Inverell on Sunday.

Officers were called to the intersection of Waratah Avenue and Willow Place just before 3am on June 9 with reports of a large group of people fighting in the street.
Police will allege the officer attempted to separate two females when a man grabbed her throwing her to the ground, causing bruising and abrasions to her knees.
The man continued to challenge police as a male Senior Constable and Sergeant rushed to her aid. Officers were forced to deploy OC spray and a taser.
Police say the man continued to act aggressively before eventually being subdued with the use of a police baton.
The 23-year-old was taken to Inverell Police Station where he was charged with affray, assault police officer during public disorder cause actual bodily harm, assault officer in execution of duty, and resist or hinder police officer in the execution of duty.
Granted conditional bail, he will appear at Inverell Local Court on Thursday, June 20.
