Coming into Saturday's game off the back of consecutive home victories, the Thunderbolts quickly became locked in an arm wrestle with the Sea Eagles.

American import Hawkins was the Thunderbolts' best scorer with 20 points, while Rhys Chillingworth supported him with 16 points.
Thunderbolts coach John Ireland said the game was a "really good test" for his side.
"It was a really close game, in fact I think there was about 20 lead changes throughout the game," Ireland said.
"Quayshun got himself in foul trouble, so while he topped scored he was restricted a little bit.
"I was really impressed with the games of Rhys and Brock McMahon, they really stood up.
"Especially Brock, defensively he did a great job on their point guards and really shut them down.
"All up it was a really good win for our boys and now they will rest up over the long weekend."
With players scoring more 10 points for the game, Ireland said his side's even spread of scoring was a major weapon.
"In all honesty, any one of our 16 squad members could be our top scorer in a game," he said.
"I think it is a real strength of ours and as a coach is a really good thing to have."
After the Queens Birthday long weekend the Thunderbolts will host their second double-header of the season on June 15.
The women's side will host the Dubbo Rams, while the men's side plays host to the Central Coast Waves.
"We are having a pretty good run at the moment," Ireland said.
"But, we know we have some really tough games ahead of us starting with the double-header in two weeks.
"Before that we will be hosting our sportsman's night on the Friday night, so it should be a great weekend for us."
