Kirby McIntosh (five hits), Brock Ridgewell (four hits), Kris Bird (three hits) and Aiden Lee (three hits) helped set up the dominant victory.
As well as the big hitting, seven errors from the Giants in the field also helped shape the win, while Al Brand and Blake Small did their best to keep the side in the game with two hits apiece.
Cougars' starting pitcher Ben Ridgewell was tight throughout his four-inning stint on the mound, allowing only one run.

Relieving pitcher Scott Hurn helped ensure the Giants didn't score again for the remainder of the game.
Earlier in the day, the Cougars' B grade side flexed its muscle against the Tamworth Pandas.
A 10-run first inning helped set up the side's eventual 16-3 victory.
However, the Pandas did not give the game up easily, as relieving pitchers Rochelle Coull and Brian Hopton prevented the Cougars from scoring after the third inning.
With the bat, Natalie Crittle, Brian Hopton and Sarah Davis all registered a hit for the Pandas, while Nathan Smith, Rob Bowen, Matt Mellross, Brandon Hopton and Hayden Hopwood-Young finished with two hits apiece for the Cougars.
Meanwhile, David Ardill proved to be the hero for the Warriors, hitting a double to score a 12-11 walk-off win over the Armidale Outlaws.
Needing two runs to win with the bases loaded, Ardill found a hit down the left field line to bring in the two required runs to finish the game in style.
In B grade, the Warriors were able to secure a 9-5 victory over the Outlaws, despite the pitching efforts of Sam McKay.
McKay threw 91 pitches for just four runs in his side's loss, while Warriors starter James Ardill finished with five hits from his 68-pitch stint on the mound.
