Entering three teams, the area's first team made the grand final, going down to the Bourke Barbarians 82-65 in the final, while the second team finished second in their pool and the third team claimed a sixth-place finish.
Known as the Oxley Cods, first team captain constable Travis Ling said the squad of local officers represented the region with pride.
"There was about 30 teams from around the state taking part," Ling told the Leader.
"It was a real team effort throughout the whole competition.
"For our third team it was a great send off for Marc Tyler, who is retiring and was named by all his teammates to be the players' player."

While Tyler was named the third team's best player, Simon Norvil took out the honour in the first team, and Joesph Green was the second team's best.
"Everyone who goes along to these kinds of competitions has a lot of fun," Ling said.
"We wanted to go one better than last year, which we did, and we want to go better again next year."
Ling said a strong semi final performance against the Goulburn Highway Patrol helped set up the grand final berth.
"I think we had a lot of confidence coming into the game after beating the Wellington Corrective Services, otherwise known as the Screws," he said.
"From there, we went on to win the semi final 83-78 and everyone just did their job for the team.
"It was an improvement on our finish last year and that was our goal from last year.
"I think it has left us all pretty hungry to go one better again next year."
Tom Wilson was named the Cod's best player of the grand final.
"We lost the toss and batted first," Ling said.
"I would have preferred to chase but there's not too much you can do about that.
"In the end, everyone had a lot of fun, is looking forward to next year and that is what is most important."
