The three-year-old gelding picked up its second career victory after Port Macquarie trainer Tas Morton received some helpful advice from Tamworth trainer Sue Grills.
"I rang Sue Grills before I decided to bring him to Tamworth to see what the track was like," Morton told the Leader.
"Sue gave the track a big wrap and that was why I decided to come, although I think she wishes she hadn't told me because she ended up running second.
"That information gets shared around and I trust Sue completely like she does me."

Tuesday's victory was jockey Belinda Hodder's second for the day and will act as a warm up for Acoustix's next assignment.
"We are aiming for the Grafton Guineas," Morton said.
"This race has just come at the right time for him in terms of preparation for that race.
"The Port Macquarie track is in pretty ordinary condition at the moment so it was important for us to find him a run."
Morton said he was particularly pleased with how Acoustix finished the 1200 metre race.
"I was really pleased with how he came home ," he said.
"Belinda rode him well and timed his run pretty perfectly, to be honest.
"He showed good pace down the straight and I think the win will give him a fair bit of confidence. It will prepare him quite well for Grafton and hopefully he will go pretty well there as well."
