Security cameras from a neighbouring business recorded the theft from the Dampier Street business at about 5am on Tuesday.
The Prop 600L diesel cartage tank was new and strapped to wooden pallets at the time. It is estimated to be worth more than $1300, police have been told.
Investigators said a white ute stopped outside the location and thieves then were captured lifting the property from the front of the business onto the back of the utility.
