The Family Hotel will host Sky News journalist Paul Murray live on the fourth stop of the regional Our Town tour, that raises funds for farm families affected by drought.
The TV channel called looking for an authentic country pub, Pub Group manager Craig Power said.
"It will have a great impact not only on our venue but the business as a whole and the town," he said.
"The brief was very much an authentic country pub, they wanted a relaxed bar setting and it's got that look about it."
