The chopper had been deployed from Tamworth after a woman was injured in a roll-over on Friday afternoon.
Paramedics treated the 48-year-old woman at the scene for a minor head injury, she was not taken to hospital and police are at the scene of the crash.
Investigations are continuing.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been deployed after a woman was trapped in a car near Gunnedah
The woman, in her late 40s, was involved in a single vehicle roll-over on the Blue Vale Road on Friday afternoon.

Emergency services were called about 3pm after there were reports the woman was trapped in her car.
A spokesperson for Ambulance NSW said three paramedic crews had been dispatched to the scene to help the woman who has since been released from the car.
The Westpac chopper was also deployed from Tamworth.
The woman suffered a cut to her head but it's understood her injuries aren't serious.
