Three new officers will join the ranks in New England, to be stationed in Glen Innes, Moree and Inverell, while a single officer will heat the beat in the Oxley Police District.
The new probationary constables were part of a 261-strong class that were sworn in during an official ceremony on Friday after months of rigorous training.
"[Friday] marks the end of the first chapter in these new officer's policing careers, however it also represents the start of the next chapter, where they will experience the great challenges and rewards of serving the community as police officers," NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said.

They will complete 12 months on-the-job training and study an associate degree in policing practice before being confirmed to the rank of constable.
