Elliot Bowen and Luke Robinson headline a list of outs for the Roos, who will be looking to pick up their first win of the season after going down to the Gunnedah Bulldogs in round one.
Roos coach Tony Bishop told the Leader injuries and unavailability were the main reasons for the side's "tough spot" in round two.
"We are going to compete, try to be in the game and see how we go," Bishop said.
"It's going to be a bit tough with that many guys out, but I think it would be a real club-lifter if we were able to get across the line."

The Eagles will also be after their first victory of the season after copping a 144-point drubbing at the hands of the Tamworth Swans last week.
"Even though they are coming off a big loss, we are taking nothing for granted and not taking anyone in the competition lightly," Bishop said.
"If we want to win this game we are going to have to toughen up and not focus on what we are missing, and instead focus on the weapons we do have.
"I think we still have a pretty potent forward line with Dan Overeem and Brad Rees, they will be hard to stop if we can get it to them.
"It will be tough but we are very much looking to do a form reversal from round one."
Saturday's matches will mark the first of the season at Tamworth No.1 oval, with the Roos women's team beginning their premiership defence against the Tamworth Swans.
The women's game begins at 12pm, followed by the men's clash at 2pm.
