Crews were called to the Minimbah Close home at 1.25pm on Saturday after reports a fire had broken out in a back room of the house.
Police and ambulance crews were also on scene to assist with evacuating the occupants from the burning house, securing the scene and to treat any possible injuries.
Fire crews then set about containing the fire to the back room and rescuing a trapped cat in the process.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.

A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesperson told the Leader it was a lucky escape for the residents.
"The fire was contained to a single room but our crews did have to pull some of the ceiling down after the fire and gone into the roof," the spokesperson said.
"All of the occupants were accounted for when fire crews arrived at the scene and crews were able to save a cat from the fire.
"All told the fire was extinguished and the house returned to the owners by about 2.30pm, which is a pretty good result."
The incident comes after a busy start to the long weekend for Fire and Rescue crews, which have attend to multiple small grass fires in the Tamworth area and a fatal car accident on Manilla Road on Thursday night.
"Attending car accidents makes up about 50 per cent of what Fire and Rescue NSW does," the spokesperson said.
"While we want everyone to enjoy their break and the Easter long-weekend, we also want to see them get there safely.
"No one wants to go to a serious car accident so we are continuing to urge people to take care on our roads and around the house this long-weekend."
