Three goals in the first 10-15 minutes turned a 1-nil half-time lead into an eventual 4-nil result.
On Saturday they scored within the first 10 minutes and controlled the game from there.
Campbell felt there wasn't anything they specifically did a lot better than in the game against Norths. Overall their game just had a bit more fluidity about it with that extra week together.
They are basically a brand new team.
"Every game hopefully we're going to get better and better through the season," Campbell said.
Liam Neeson, Liam Georkas and Saad Alqhatani all found the back of the net, Neeson striking twice.
"We said at half-time we needed to come out in that second half and really assert ourselves and that's what we did," he said.
He said they spoke about in that first 10-15 minutes really coming out and putting Companions away.
They lost their rhythm a bit midway through the second half but scrambled well in defence to deny Companions.
"Anyone you get 4-nil up, you do tend to get a bit of complacency creeping in," he said.
"But it was great to see an effort on the goalline with one minute to go to basically save a goal there."
"Clean sheets are important and we were very happy to have that at the end of the day."

North Companions coach Jackson Zifodya said it was a "bad day at the office" for his side.
"We didn't play our game all day," he said.
"They took control and we couldn't wrestle it back."
They really struggled to find their rhythm, and hold the ball for long passages.
"They were more accurate in holding the ball and forced us into a lot of errors," Zifoyda said.
He said they will learn a lot from the loss and couldn't fault their effort.
"They kept chasing, kept harassing," he said.
The competition has a general bye this weekend but South Armidale will play Demon Knights on Thursday night.
"If we can get a win on Thursday night, which should be a big game against another Armidale team, it would be a good performance and really set us up for the season ahead," Campbell said.
