The event kicked off on Wednesday in Griffith's Hall at Gunnedah Showground, with a day full of walk-up artists showing off their country music skills.
More than 50 people set up their camp chairs and settled in to watch artists such as Max Maher and his brother Darrel Maher, both from Casino, Ian Wilkinson from Maitland and Barry Baldwin from Gunnedah.

Organiser Rex Baldwin said anyone was welcome to have a try at performing on stage.
"We encourage all walk-up artists to come and do whatever they want to do - whether they're good, bad or indifferent," Mr Baldwin said.
"It doesn't matter who comes - they're all welcome and we all help one another.
"If they want, [fellow organiser Rob Breese and I can] play or help out, or if they want to go alone, they can do their own thing."
Walk-up artist Max Maher said he "loves performing" onstage.
"I like to sing a bit of everything; I like to sing sad, true-story songs that a lot of people can relate to," Mr Maher said.
"My wife and I, we've got a motorhome, and we just travel around to a lot of country music shows."
Walk-up artists will perform until Friday; entry is free for these days.
The people's choice artist will perform on the main stage on Saturday alongside major acts such as Trevor Coombs, Ged and Trudi Hintz, and Bob Easter.
These artists will begin playing at noon on Saturday, and from 9am on Sunday, with an entry cost of $20.
