THE OWNER of Manilla's "hell house" and Tamworth Regional Council will split the costs of a court case that banned Jennifer Johnson from demolishing, disturbing or removing any of the structure at 24 Northbrook Lane.

The hearing to decide if one party would pay the other side's legal costs was dismissed in the NSW Land and Environment Court and an order made that each party must bear their own costs of the proceedings.
The council demolished the asbestos-ridden property after its regulatory services manager Ross Briggs received a call from a neighbour that someone was on the property trying to remove contaminated waste on March 21.
Court documents asserted that when Mr Briggs turned up with two police officers and a ranger, a fire was burning at the property where Ms Johnson and another man were attempting to clean up.
Neither Ms Johnson nor the man with her had a licence or approval to remove asbestos waste from the property.

Much of the property was damaged in a fire in 2011. The home was demolished this year after the council ordered an urgent clean up in July, last year.
An order was put on Ms Johnson or any known associates that banned them from any activity at the property from March 23 until March 26.
It was during that time that the council pulled down what remained of the home.
