His most recent victory, the Morington prelude in Tamworth, was arguably his most impressive to date and could earn him a ride in the Mornington Showcase Handicap in Tamworth on April 28.
"There's still a lot of work to be done, but I'm happy with the way I'm progressing this year," Jones told the Leader.
"You never stop learning, which is all I am aiming to do at the moment."
Jones said he was eager to continue his winning form and "earn his opportunities".
"I suppose the goal for me at the moment is to earn my way into the provincial races," he said.
"As I said, I still have a lot to learn, and hopefully I can continue to learn and grow as a rider."
The recent victories have been a continuation of the apprentice jockey's wins, which stem as far back as September last year.
"The big thing I have been working on since those rides last year is my patience," Jones said.
"I have been working on being a little bit more patient in my rides, slow things down in my head and try not to rush into things quite as much.
"I think it has been working for me lately and hopefully I can keep it going. It's always nice to grab a winner and to grab a few lately has been great."
