The four-year-old gelding proved too strong for second placed Loving Home and third placed Plaisir, as it went on to win by three lengths.
Nathan Perry (son of San Francisco's trainer Paul Perry) told the Leader he had high hopes for the horse leading into the race.
"We have had him Sydney a few times but he just doesn't like the wet track," Perry said.
"So this race has come up at a really good time, given he was scratched last week in Sydney due to the wet weather."

Perry said the horse was "very likely" to take part in the $40,000 Mornington Showcase Handicap in Tamworth on April 28.
"It's coming up in a few weeks and I think it might be a good race for him," he said.
"Today's field was pretty strong so I think we can be pretty confident about his chances.
"I think it really should suit him, provided the rain stays away, which unfortunately for most looks to be the case."
Friday's win was a continuation of recent good form for San Francisco after it recently took home the Quirindi Cup.
"I don't think there's too much for him to improve upon," Perry said.
"He's a pretty set horse and hopefully he can continue the form he's in at the moment in a few weeks time."
