The first of two Taste Tamworth festival pop ups was a rip-roaring success for vendors and visitors.
Post Office Hotel owner Andrew Coutts had the entire outdoor area licensed for the first time to serve alcoholic beverages.
"It's a great trial with this Friday and next Friday, it will be good to see events like this take place more often," he said.
"We'd even like to push for something like this at Tamworth Country Music Festival down the track, it'd be a great event.
"The hype around it is pretty good and the council probably expected around 1500 throughout the night, it's a good trend and a great little environment."
A couple of delicious cuisines were represented at the first pop up, with favourites from Tamworth Vietnamese Restaurant, Don Churros, Gold Leaf Catering and Homestead Coffee Lounge.
