A 56-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital after crashing into a guard rail on the Gibraltar Range, about 60km east of Glen Innes.
The man was believed to be riding a three-wheel motorbike on Thursday afternoon when it hit the rail, causing the rider to be thrown from the bike, over the rail.
He suffered chest and arm injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked and airlifted the man to Lismore hospital in a stable condition.
Meanwhile, a Tamworth cyclist is recovering after a collision with a car on the outskirts of Tamworth.
The man, aged in his 50s, was riding his pushbike along the New England Highway between Tintinhull and Nemingha when the car and bike collided, about 6.30pm on Thursday.
The rider suffered shoulder and chest injuries and was assessed by paramedics at the scene before being taken to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition.
The driver was not injured, paramedics said.
Investigations are continuing.
