At the TAFE NSW Excellence Awards in Dubbo yesterday, Armidale's Holly Bartram was named Student of the Year, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year, and Technology and Business Student of the Year.
Emily Southey, also of Armidale, was named Agribusiness Student of the Year; and Gunnedah's Lucy Schillert the Tourism and Experience Services Student of the Year.

TAFE NSW regional general manager Kate Baxter said Ms Bartram had "consistently demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to her learning journey and professional development over the past two years".

"She has completed two nationally recognised qualifications at TAFE, and she is well on her way to successfully completing a certificate IV in training and assessment.
"Despite this intensive workload, Holly's commitment to her studies never wavered.
"Holly has always exhibited the characteristics of a true professional, striving for excellence while giving back to the agriculture industry and community."
Ms Bartram said she was "really thankful" to her teachers for their efforts and for recognising hers, as she balanced full-time work and study.
"I enjoy the diversity of working in agriculture and the challenges it provides working in a male-dominated industry."

Ms Southey completed an advanced diploma in agribusiness in just 16 months, "a really impressive achievement considering she juggled this with full-time employment and is just 20 years of age," Ms Baxter said.
Ms Southey said she was "particularly proud of my networking achievements in the horse management area".
"I started from no contacts a few years ago to now having to regularly knock back work, and it's thanks to the skills I learnt at TAFE NSW."
Lucy Schillert
Ms Schillert completed a certificate IV in beauty therapy at TAFE NSW Gunnedah in 2018.
She said she was shocked by the nomination and win.
"I'm very excited. I love coming to work every day, I'm really passionate about beauty therapy and to win an award for doing something I love is wonderful."
The gala awards ceremony was held at Lazy River Estate, Dubbo.
