The club's came together in Quirindi to battle it out in both senior men's and ladies league tag matches ahead of the regular season.
It was a fierce battle in the ladies league tag match, with the Robins getting off to a sluggish start.

However, the side showed improvement in the second half to eventually fall four points short of the Mavericks with the final score reading 12-8.
The Robins men's side was able to turn the day's fortunes around controlling much of the play in their game.
While Murrurundi showed promising passages of play, it was not enough to prevent the Robins running out 20-8 winners.
The club will now turn its attention to its season opening games on April 27.
Both the reserve-grade men's team and ladies league tag team will begin their season with clashes against Boggabri.
