Manilla's show society has lauded the 2019 event as an "unbelievable" success with a huge amount of support in trying times.

Society secretary LouEllen Overton said there were a few factors which lead to the bumper edition of the show.
While there was no denying the crushing drought conditions which have hit the region, Ms Overton said the huge amount of entries in the sheep and cattle classes was a strong statement of resilience.

"In the cattle and sheep, I think people have been hanging on to the best of the best," she said.
"It's a justification of the efforts they have put in to keep the stock alive."
She said the food vans sold out and the rodeo events were also hugely attended.
