In NSW, the top 100 gun owners have an average of 123 guns each, while several owners have over 300 registered weapons to their name after a "loophole" in Australia's laws "allows owners to use the same genuine reason to get their first, second or 300th gun."
In the 2340 postcode, which has a population of just over 45,000, there are 15,172 guns, owned by 3030 individuals at an average of five guns per owner.

Greens MP David Shoebridge said "most people would be staggered to see the surge in gun numbers in their neighbourhoods."
"There are now dozens of people with more than 100 guns, these are private arsenals right in the middle of our suburbs - there is no reason whatsoever for anyone to have hundreds of guns," he said.
In Gunnedah, there are 944 gun owners and 4545 registered weapons, with the same average of five each, with one resident having 66 registered weapons.
Meanwhile, in Armidale gun owners also average five each, with one boasting an arsenal of 83 guns.
There are now more than one million registered guns in NSW, with 90,000 of those being registered in the past two years alone, according to NSW Firearms Registry data, released under freedom of information laws.
Interestingly, the largest private arsenals are in the city, and not in regional and rural areas with an Eastgardens resident, in Sydney's eastern suburbs, topping the list with 303 weapons, while a Mosman resident has 297, and a Cremorne owner boasts 234.
"Gun numbers are growing so quickly because of a loophole," Mr Shoebridge said.
"The most common reason given is for hunting, and this is used to build up these large private gun stashes.
"The major parties in Parliament have gone soft on gun control and the matter is only going to get worse if we have One Nation or Shooters MPs elected."
In last year's amnesty, the Oxley police area ranked second for guns surrendered, after recording the most with 1322 pieces in 2017.
