There was a healthy crowd at the Tamworth Jockey Club who enjoyed the eight-race showcase meeting.
The racegoers got to cheer home a local winner in the main race as well.

Scone trainer Jeremy Gask is also on his way to Sydney after Tim's Principal finished second while the Stephen Jones-trained Hit The Target finished third.
