FC play their first match of the season when they meet South Armidale in a third-round FFA Cup encounter at Johnson Field on Saturday afternoon.
Bartlett said no one at the club talked about FC's still-alive 20-match winning streak because it was a new season.
"It's a new year - we start all over again," he said. "What we did last year was special … we'll just start again and see how we go."
FC's only loss last season came in round four of the FFA, when Bangalow beat them 3-1.

Bartlett said Tamworth FC had lost three players in the off-season - Hamish Migheli, Jackson Haussler and Matt Gardner - but had signed a number of new players.
During FC's run to the title last season, Bartlett demanded rival clubs show his side more respect.
South Armidale was one of the clubs that responded negatively to his comments.
On Saturday morning, Bartlett said: "Like I said many times last year, I don't make apologies for the way we play - we play to win. We play hard but we play fair - there's no dirty tactics that some people mentioned."
