Morgan, who was made Hockeyroos co-captain in January, was handed the sole captaincy for Saturday’s come-from-behind 2-1 win over USA at Sydney Olympic Park in the new FIH Pro League.
After a toe injury saw her miss the first four games, the 25-year-old defender led the side in their wi over Great Britain in Perth last month, before backing that up in front of more than 2,000 fans, including family and friends in Sydney.
“We’re enjoying this home leg,” Morgan said.
“We’re getting a few wins under the belt before we head overseas.
“We’re pumped with the crowd we had and can’t wait to get back in two weeks and see the crowd again, it’ll be awesome.”
The Hockeyroos will return to Sydney to play Argentina and New Zealand on Saturday-Sunday 16-17 March.
Australia have enjoyed a good run of form in the FIH Pro League, sitting second on the standings behind only world champions Netherlands.
Morgan hailed the side’s never-say-die attitude to come from 1-0 behind at three-quarter time to beat the USA.
“I think we were disappointed that we didn’t finish inside the circle the way we wanted,” she said.
“We created a lot of opportunities and didn’t capitalise.
"That’s something we’ll be looking at for the next game.”
She added: “Credit to the girls to get the job done when you’re not playing well is what you want.
“I think credit to the girls for grinding that one out and getting the win in the end.”
