A man in his 30s was to be flown to John Hunter Hospital today after suffering serious injuries while using a brush cutter.

The 34-year-old Moree man received injuries to his leg or legs while using the tool this morning.
He was taken to Moree District Hospital by road ambulance.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter, which had been dispatched to the scene, met the road team and patient at the hospital.

He was treated there by the aircraft doctor and paramedic.
The helicopter was then tasked to transport him to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle in a serious condition.
A WRHS spokesman was unable to give more details on the injuries, but said they were reported to be "quite serious leg injuries".
