Wests Tamworth captain Shaun Stevenson has described as "unreal" his side's rebound with the ball after being dismissed for 134 in their crucial final-round clash against North Tamworth at Riverside 1.

Just over two points separate fourth-placed Norths and fifth-placed Wests, while less than 10 points separate Wests and second-placed City United, who are in the midst of an Old Boys touch-up at No.1 Oval.
"Obviously we lost a few early wickets, which wasn't an ideal start," Stevenson said. "But then myself and Dave [Mudaliar] put on a crucial [39-run] partnership … which was the key.

"But, unfortunately, we lost a few wickets in clumps … But then we really, really fought back with the ball, which was unreal. Cameron [Reeves] and Elliot [Bowen] just bowled really well in partnership."
Bowen (39) top-scored for Wests, while Jai Tasker took 6-26 off 12.2 overs for Norths.
Norths No.7 Lincoln Peters is 39 not out, while Bowen took 3-3 off seven overs.
At Riverside 2, third-placed South Tamworth made 225, with Tom Groth (40) top-scoring and Jye Peterson (6-43 off 20 overs) the Bulls' main weapon. The last-placed Bulls finished on 0-2.
