Three people have told a court their lives have been irrevocably changed since they were injured when a truck crashed into the Main Street of Singleton in October 2017.

Rodney Johnson, 31, pleaded guilty last October to using a stolen semi-trailer to lead police on a 100 kilometre chase along the New England Highway before causing a fiery trail of destruction, smashing into shopfronts and parked cars and decimating a Singleton street.
Kerry Small spent six months in hospital with a fractured leg, punctured lung and broken legs following the accident.

“I accept my life has changed forever,” Mr Small said in a victim impact statement read by his daughter in Newcastle District Court on Wednesday.
Another victim, Kelly TiTo, cried while reading her victim impact statement.
She said she had been diagnosed with post traumatic stress syndrome and suffered panic attacks following the accident.
“I haven’t worked since the accident and my wage has been cut in half, she said.
“I freeze if I see a truck come near me.”
