Along with the helpers from the Roosters, Tamworth Kangaroos and Tamworth Swans senior players and coaches also turned out to help the day run smoothly.
Coordinator Sarah Knee said the day bode well for the 2019 season.
"There was a mixture of current Roosters and new players as well," Knee said.
"There was a good mix of boys and girls."
"We're definitely going to have an under 14s side and we'll more than likely have and under 17s side as well."
Knee said 2018 was "a bit of a struggle" in terms of player numbers but with new faces appearing on Sunday, 2019 could be a lot easier.
"I had 14 new names on Sunday," she said.
The Roosters are set to commence training next Thursday.
All are welcome to come down and parents are able to use the active kids voucher. For more information, head to the Tamworth Roosters Facebook page.
