Tamworth High has a huge week of events lined up to celebrate the milestone, culminating in the 400 person formal dinner on March 30 according to long-time teacher and centenary committee chair Ken Hall.
"It is very important to remember the history of establishments like Tamworth High," he said.
"The school has a long history of both academia and sport which is why we are calling on all past and current students and staff to get in contact and enjoy the celebrations."

Those celebrations will be officially kicked off by the current students on Sunday March 24, who will unearth two time capsules, one 50 and the other 75 years old, before placing a new time capsule.
"We really want to show what is currently going on in the school and the community, including the drought," Mr Hall said.
"We will also be putting in current school uniforms, a mobile phone and other items that reflect our times."
That following week will see a formal school assembly on Monday, before a concert showcasing current and former students, as well as a student disco on Wednesday.
Thursday afternoon will see old rivalries reignited when Tamworth High clash with Oxley High in rugby league, including women's and Indigenous matches.
On Friday groups will be taken on a tour of Tamworth Public School, which was founded as Tamworth High before the high school moved to their current site in 1961, with a tour of the current site on Saturday followed by the formal dinner at Wests Leagues Club.
SRC member and year 11 student Georgia Holcombe has been blown away by the reaction from both past and present students.
"It is pretty cool to think about how many people have come through the school before us, and to just be a part of the centenary year," she said.
Anyone interested in the events can contact the school directly or through the THS Centenary 2019 Facebook page.
