At least 26 players would participate in a day-night clash with no scoring - "just a lot of fund", said Greg Kellett of Tamworth Veterans Cricket.
"About 20 of the local [cancer] support group will be attending, and a number of former cricketers, who haven't played for a long time, will be saddling up," he said.
"There will also be some new younger cricketers who will be introduced to the fastest growing cricket in Australia.

"This is close to our heart, as we have a number of our players going through some sort of prostate treatment.
"Anyone wishing to donate to this cause please come down, enjoy the night and give this support group a bit of help."
The event's sponsors will provide steak sandwiches and drinks for sale.
Those sponsors are Wests Entertainment Group, Penrose Meats, Bakers Delight, at Tamworth Plaza, and Psarakis Accounting.
"Also, a number of our players, who cannot participate, have made a donation," Kellett said.
