Some active fire continues to burn in the Red Hill area, south of Guyra Road. Firefighters are working to contain this fire by conducting a controlled backburn, when conditions allow.
Firefighters will continue to strengthen and consolidate containment lines around the rest of the fireground.
Tingha residents and essential services only can return to Tingha via Bundarra Road (Thunderbolts Way) and Howell Road. Motorists are advised to drive with caution, firefighters and heavy plant are still operating in the area.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- All Evacuation centres are now closed.
- Residents should continue to monitor the situation and take advice from firefighters on the ground.
- A number of roads in and around the fireground remain closed due to the risk of falling trees.
- Bundarra Road (Thunderbolts Way), Howell Road, Old Mill Road, Old Stannifer Road and Guyra Road remain closed.
