Yum To Go owner Kathleen Barden said her shop was closed for just one day after Sunday’s fire thanks to local tradies who “went above and beyond” to get the cafe back up and running in “what’s obviously the busiest time of the year”.
“It’s terrible what happened, but we we’re really lucky,” she said.

“We had really quick thinking local competitors who came to help offering to assist with cool room equipment.”
While they got the doors reopened for festival, Mrs Barden said there was “easily thousands of dollars” worth of damage and she’d have to close for further repairs later in the year.
“We we’re just shut for the Monday, but we’re back open and trading now,” she said
“We’re very grateful for all of those who helped.”
