Unplugged for the first time in more than five years, the three sisters Brooke, Sam and Mollie will return to the simplicity of their beautiful harmonies on the big stage.
In the belly of Tamworth’s only speakeasy, the girls talk life, motherhood and music – Sam is eight months pregnant and celebrating her birthday as our photographer snaps away.
“Some people come up and say they just love to hear our voices and it really takes you back to how you wrote the song on guitar,” Sam said.
“It’s nice to do something different and mix it up,” Mollie agreed.
The trio finished touring last year and have been fitting life and family in between.
The plan is to get back into writing once Sam’s baby is born and start recording new music – for the last four years one of the girls has been pregnant.
Since becoming a mother herself, Brooke said life has changed dramatically in a fantastic way.

“This is our 12th year as professional musos, this is our full time job - we’ve had kids, we’ve got young babies and we’re all in a really good place so let’s talk about,” she said.
“The three of us girls have always loved to write from our personal experience for our fans to connect with us telling our stories from our perspective.”
The sisters are excited to share a unique experience with their long term fans at the acoustic show, supported by the winner of Toyota Star Maker 2019 Blake O’Connor.
“We haven’t done this for probably five or six years so it’s very well overdue - it’s nice for people to hear our harmonies and hear the songs the way they started just on guitar,” Brooke said.
“It’s exciting and it’s something different, it’s good to change things up.
“To do this and share it with each other is really rewarding and we just love what we do.
“We never take what we do for granted.”
One of their most personal albums yet, Endless, is an honest look at their lives and a therapeutic and honest album to make Brooke said.
“The three of us really dug deep,” she said.
“We love watching fans sing our songs back to us and our big hits are what got us to where we are today - the fans who have been with us from the beginning know who we are and know our personalities.
“We’ve gotten a lot older, hopefully matured and with life experience, the kids and marriage we’re doing what everyone else is doing but we have a platform to sing about it.”
The McClymonts will play at TRECC on January 23.
