Jessica Davidson starred with the ball as ACT/NSW Country caused the biggest upset of the National Under-18 Female Cricket Championships by defeating NSW Metro in their semi-final this morning.

ACT/NSW Country will play Queensland in tonight’s grand final at the QEO after the Maroons proved too strong for Victoria Country in the other semi-final.
NSW Metro went into the semi-final as hot favourite after not losing a game in the preliminary rounds.
Batting had been NSW Metro’s strength, but in the semi-final it was the ACT/NSW Country bowlers that decided the game.

NSW Metro was bowled out for just 75 thanks to some great bowling from Davidson (3-10), Abby Taylor (2-6) and Anika Learoyd (2-12).
ACT/NSW Country lost five wickets in the run chase, with Learoyd (30 not out) capping a fine all-round game.
Davidson made 12 off 21 and was ACT/NSW Country’s second top-scorer.
They finished second in their pool, behind Queensland, after defeating Victoria Country and Tasmania on the final day of pool games.

Davidson and Graham both scored nine in the successful run chase against Victoria.
Both then missed out with the bat as ACT/NSW Country posted 6-169 against Tasmania. They routed Tasmania for 83 in reply, Davidson snaring 1-4 off her two overs while Graham finished with 0-5 from her two.
Neither bowled in the first game.
