Both sides will head into the clash undefeated, having both scored wins over an Invitational side and West Pennant Hills.
The two sides now sit equal with fellow undefeated side Manly, with all three sides looking to book a place in Friday’s final.
However, as if coming up against an undefeated team was not daunting enough, Tamworth will go up against the son of a former Australian opening bowler.

Zac McDermott is looking to follow in the footsteps of his father Craig as he takes to the field for Gold Coast in their clash with Tamworth on Wednesday.
“It’s been a pretty solid start to the carnival, that’s for sure,” Zac said.
“We are trying to really keep it like a normal cricket team and do the basics right with the bat and ball.
“To have only played for a total of 90 overs out of a possible 200 so far has been really good. Hopefully we can keep it going.”
The Gold Coast all-rounder said he was looking forward to taking on the Tamworth side.
“It’s going to be really interesting to go up against the local guys,” Zac said.
“From the little bit of other action I have seen, I’d say them and Manly look like the teams to beat. So it will be good to have a test against them tomorrow [Wednesday] and hopefully it will be a good hit-out.”
Zac’s father Craig, who played more than 70 test matches for Australia, said his son’s preparation had focused on “the fundamentals”.
“For Zac it has been about getting the basics right consistently,” McDermott said.
“Things like his action, seam position and follow-through are things we have been really focusing on.
“It’s good to see the work paying off for him with a few wickets so far, but it’s really good to see him enjoying himself.”
McDermott said he was enjoying his time in Tamworth.
“The facilities here in Tamworth are outstanding,” he said.
“They have done a good job putting this carnival together.”
