New England’s Pip Constable and her NSW Lions side roared to the under-13s girls title while Tamworth’s Sam Griffith and Ben O’Connor, and New England’s Elliot Clarke helped the Lions boys take the silver behind their NSW Stars compatriots.
Constable’s girls side sealed the gold with a 4-3 win over the Stars.
It gave them five wins, a draw and a loss for the tournament.
Constable was also rewarded off the court, receiving the overall citizenship award for the Lions for her off-court behaviour.
The Lions boys started the final day with a 2-all draw with the Stars – their second in as many matches.
Assured of at least bronze they needed the Stars to beat Victoria to finish in second. They obliged, earning NSW the quinella.
Clarke and Griffith shared the keeping duties while O’Connor played up front and bagged three goals.
After dropping their first game they were undefeated for the rest of the tournament with four draws and two wins.
Another contingent of stars hit the pitch on Tuesday as NSW chase back-to-back titles in both the under-15’s boys and girls divisions.
New England’s Rohan Lawrence and Tyler McCann, and Tamworth’s Nick O’Connor are suiting up for the boys while Tamworth’s Amber Whitney and New England’s Chelsea Thornton are playing for the girls.
