Riding for Team Wiggins Le Col Jenner was third in Saturday’s under-23 men’s road race.
Ballarat young gun Nick White powered away in three-way sprint to take out the title, which Jenner won in 2017.
White had just metres to spare from fellow breakaway riders Michael Potter and Jenner, with a fast-finishing 19-strong peloton just four seconds adrift.
Jenner and White made their move on the final climb of the 127.6 km race, later to be joined by Potter.
