The chopper was re-tasked to the Hanging Rock area after reports of a two-year-old child suffering an airway obstruction.
A spokesperson said the chopper met an ambulance at Woolomin and assessed the patient.
The helicopter’s clinical care team then escorted the infant to Tamworth hospital in the ambulance.
The child’s condition is unknown.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been tasked to two separate incidents today.
A 15-year-old male sustained multiple injuries following a dirt bike accident near Inverell.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been tasked to the dirt bike accident which happened on a property north west of Inverell.
The 15-year-old sustained several lower leg fractures.
The patient was assessed by clinical team and transported by paramedics to Inverell Hospital for further treatment.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was also called out to the Glen Innes Showground after an 11-year-old female was trampled by a horse.
The horse had stepped on the 11-year-old’s abdomen at a showground event. The helicopter flew her to Lismore Hospital.
It’s the third time in a the past two days the Westpac Rescue Helicopter has been tasked out to a scene.
On Monday, December 31, a woman was flown to hospital with serious injuries after being thrown from a vehicle near Tamworth.
Ambulance NSW said four paramedic crews and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were tasked to the scene on Wallabadah Creek Road at Wallabadah about 9.30am.
Paramedics found a woman, believed to be 19, on Wallabadah Creek Road at Wallabadah who and suffered significant facial injuries and suspected pelvic injuries, a spokesperson said.
