The local seniors generously collected and donated a variety of non-perishable food, Christmas treats and household staples to Foodbank’s annual Christmas food drive.
Village Manager Maree Smith said residents recognised the need to lend a hand to those doing it tough at Christmas time.
“Our residents know Christmas can be time where many families struggle to afford the sorts of things most of us take for granted,” Ms Smith said.
“It’s great to be a part of something that brings the community together.”
This is Ingenia Gardens Tamworth’s first year donating Christmas hampers, but residents say it won’t be the last.
