The duo, along with Gold team-mate Zac Craig, will play for ACT/NSW Country at next year’s Under-15 National Championships.
It will be one of three sides featuring NSW talent, with the state also fielding a team from Metropolitan NSW and a composite side comprising Metro and Country players.
The three sides were finalised following last week’s State Challenge where the local trio were among the runs and the wickets for the Country Sixers.
“When I saw it I was pretty excited,” Henry said of his initial reaction at seeing the email confirming his selection.
He was pretty happy with how he performed in Hawkesbury.
“I felt like I kept pretty well the first day. The second day I definitely performed well with the bat (he scored an unbeaten 39) and kept pretty well,” he said.
“I thought I had a half decent chance (of making the ACT/NSW Country side).”
Cricket NSW Country Coaching and Talent Manager, Brett Rankin, said some excellent performances at the State Challenge were pivotal in selection and noted Price’s efforts.
“Selectors were impressed by the fast bowling stocks particularly Nick Toohey and Landan Price,” he said.
The nationals will be held in early February in Brisbane and on the Sunshine Coast.
