The "extremely large and unpredictable fire" is fast approaching communities in Deepwater, Baffle Creek, Rules Beach and Oyster Creek, QFES said at 7.50pm (AEST) on Friday night.
An evacuation centre has been established at nearby Miriam Vale Community Centre and QFES has warned firefighters may not be able to protect properties from the blaze.
