The two day business summit, being held in February, is an initiative of the Tamworth Business Chamber and Joblink Plus, and not only hopes to attract plenty of local operators, but also attract fellow regional business brains.
Chamber president Jye Segboer said “the event is so much more than a traditional business forum.”
"The Business Summit is a formidable way to kickstart the business year,” he said.
“Never before have we seen such calibre of speakers across such a range of highly relevant topics – It is a two day event that will educate, connect and prepare businesses for the future.”
The summit, being held at Wests Diggers, will be comprised of a series of workshops and special presentations, with the list of guest speakers headlined by Jobs for NSW CEO Nicole Cook.

There will also be a panel session called Growing Regional Economies, which will feature panelists from Tamworth, Toowoomba and Wagga City councils.
Joblink Plus CEO Christine Shewry said the summit will enable businesses to take full advantage of an expanding city and region, with “plenty of home grown insight” as well as “an outstanding panel of guest speakers.”
“As Tamworth grows, so should your business and your capacity for leadership,” she said.
“The growth of our city and region is inevitable and so is the introduction of new talent to our communities, I would encourage you to be at the forefront of this next phase of growth – you’ll be challenged and encouraged.”
Workshops will include topics such as social media and marketing, employment law, workplace inclusion and diversity, health and safety, mental health and cyber fraud to name a few.
“The summit is a tremendous opportunity for businesses in the Tamworth region to help shape their business and prepare for the future,” Mr Segboer said.
