They are expected to outperform the North West boys water polo side, who finished sixth at the CHS championships at Sydney Olympic Park last week.
The girls side were a tight unit who had played together for years, while the boys were a young side in the development stage, said Casey Kelly, the carnival manager for the CHS girls championships and the manager of the boys side.
The North West girls feature talented Tamworth trio Mikayla Gross, named in the national under-16 side last month, and fellow state representatives Lucy Hofman and Giaan White.

Kelly said: “They’ve got a team that’s been building right from when they were in Year 7.” She added: “They’ve been together a number of years and play really well.”
The four-day championships start on Monday, with North West playing Sydney South West first up.
