The session, to be held at Wests’ Diggers in Tamworth at 9.30am, aims to help businesses understand their rights and responsibilities for Boxing Day trading this year.
The free workshops are taking place across the state, and come after a change to the law relating to Boxing Day trading.

Legislation came into effect in 2017 that protect workers – who “cannot be coerced, harassed, threatened or intimidated to work on Boxing Day”, according to NSW Industrial Relations.
That applies even if an employee has agreed to work on Boxing Day and changes their mind.
Retailers who force staff to work on Boxing Day face fines of up to $11,000 per employee.
There are also penalties of up to $22,000 for landlords who force retail tenants to open on Boxing Day.
NSW Industrial Relations is also providing an inquiry line and web-based sessions for staff and employers.
