Tamworth captain Ben Middlebrook would have liked more runs, but the 189 the side posted after being put in by Gwydir at Bingara on Sunday was good enough.

Tamworth made it two wins from two outings in the Connolly Cup, following a first-up away defeat of Moree, after beating Gwydir by 73 runs.
The home side, who lost their opening match to Gunnedah, were dismissed for 116 in the 25th over.
Tamworth were removed for 189 in the 41st over.
Lachie Barton (55) top-scored for Tamworth, with veteran opener Adam Lole (36) next best.
Barton’s younger brother Kurt took 3-16 on debut – ably supported by fellow teen and opening bowler Josh Attard (3-33).
For Gwydir, Lachlan Butler claimed 3-28 off 8.4 overs.
Gwydir were without their gun recruit, NSW Country keeper Tom Groth, who smashed a 94-ball 110 for South Tamworth against Old Boys on Saturday.
It is understood Groth injured his hamstring while batting.
Middlebrook said Kurt Barton “really set the tone” for Tamworth in the field. “It's good to get a win with the young team,” he added.
