SEVEN people have been treated by paramedics after a two-car crash between Tamworth and Gunnedah.

Emergency services were called to the Oxley Highway, about 3km south east of Somerton, after reports a car flipped in the crash at 3.30pm on Friday.
Six ambulance units were deployed, which shut the highway, to treat five children and two adults.
A spokesperson for Ambulance NSW said paramedics assessed an eight-week-old boy, and a five and three-year-old who were not injured.
An eight-year-old boy suffered a head laceration while a 14-year-old boy suffered hip pain.

A 30-year-old woman, behind the wheel of one of the cars, was not injured, and the second driver escaped injury, the spokesperson said.
Three patients were taken to Tamworth hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.
Investigations into the crash are continuing.
The highway has re-opened.
