“I go away for every tournament because I love being there,” Potts said.
This week will be no different as she heads to the 2018 ITF Tag World Cup in Coffs Harbour.

Potts described herself as the “chief overseer of Tamworth people” at the four-day event.
Potts – heading to her second Tag World Cup – will be joined by over 30 Tamworth coaches, referees, ground officials and players who will represent Australia, Ireland and the Indigenous Australian side.
The Oztag coordinator said the cross-section of cultures at the event makes it special.
“It’s the actual hype around it. It is amazing,” Potts said of what sets the World Cup apart from other tournaments.
“The celebration at the start with the opening ceremony, there’s a lot of traditional stuff with the Maori and Indigenous groups. It makes it exciting.
“I think there’s about 24 countries being represented along with local Indigenous sides.
“It’s really good for everyone to march out in their groups. It’s the whole feel about it with the crowd watching.”
The opening ceremony on Thursday evening will kick-off the World Cup before matches are played over the following three days.
Tamworth’s representation at this year’s event was one of their biggest ever and Potts said that high number came on the back of their booming summer competition where 127 senior teams play over three nights.
With so many officials away over the next week, the local competition won’t be played this Wednesday, Thursday or next Monday.
